Creating Main Pot with $620 with CO Creating Side Pot 1 with $1045 with Hero ** Dealing Flop ** : [ 4s, 8s, 7h ] ** Dealing Turn ** : [ 2c ] ** Dealing River ** : [ 3h ] ** Summary ** Main Pot: 620 | Side Pot 1: 1045 Board: [ 4s 8s 7h 2c 3h ] Button balance 1800, didn't bet (folded) Hero balance 1045, bet 1280, collected 1045, lost -235 [ Js Ad ] [ high card ace -- Ad,Js,8s,7h,4s ] BB balance 2005, lost 150 (folded) UTG balance 2530, didn't bet (folded) CO balance 620, bet 235, collected 620, net +385 [ 9s 7s ] [ a pair of sevens -- 9s,8s,7s,7h,4s ] I got absolutely FLAMED for this play by one of the players not involved in the hand. My thought was that AJ was ahead of the range of the all-in pusher and I did not want to let the BB in cheaply. True, if the BB woke up with a hand, then I was going home. I just didn't want the BB to get odds to call with any two. I felt a minraise may be seen as weak and would have also left me with an awkward chip count, especially if the BB decides to play the hand. Am I making a poor play here? |

Re: Isolation Play - Was it Misplayed?
I would absolutely push here unless this was a final table and knocking him out moves us all up in prize money. But with your stack, I'd probably push even if it were a final table.
