Hey all, just got my 2001 fp in the mail, but they don't include one of the drivers with it. That being the rotate the monitor driver. I can't navigate the Dell site for beans, and am getting frustrated. Anyone know where to find this driver, or have it laying around?
Thanks a million. citanul |

What video card are you using? |

Cool, thanks. It turned out my detonator drivers were massively out of date. Now that they are up to date, everything is hunky dorey.

you dont need drivers for a monitor. they exist, but you don't need them with any modern computer.

You are incorrect sir.
I guess perhaps you are only half incorrect. The particular monitor, the Dell 2001FP needs specific software to use the rotation capability. The Dell documentation refers to this as the monitor's drivers. The nvidia drivers for graphics cards also handle this capability. The Samsumg 910T+ (I think that's the model at least) needs drivers in order to use it's rotation thing as well. That monitor is sensitive to rotation position, and you don't need to hit a button to do the reconfiguring. Pretty slick. citanul |
