Default Thanks 2+2 - My slow but steady progress

Besides being on my blogger - http://ragstorichs.blogspot.com/

Just wanted to say thanks to 2+2 and all its members for the help with my questions and posts made by all members/admins.

I've worked my way up from .02/.04 and today i have finally hit $300 for my .50/1 stakes to begin!

I joined with $20 back in january i think(Ive taken long periods, Months since so its not a full 7months of playing(probably around 3-4)).

Played .02/.04 and dropped to an all time low of $4.

Then i purchased ITH(Internet Texas Hold'em) and learnt pot odds etc. I worked this up to $40 and cashed out my original $20. Was happy now as its all profit.

I got to $30 and moved up to .05/.10 working my way up to $60 for .10/.20.

I purchased SSH and read it, improved my game - i became more aggresive but am aware of the passive slow players who can kill my bankroll occasionally(Or atleast drop me a few BB's).

I finally got to $100 and this was a major point that i was happy i was playing "winning poker". I kept to my starting hands chart and read SSH now and again(still must re-read this).

i hit $150 and dabbled in .25/.50, I then joined RV and played .25/.50 have now worked it up to $125(+$20 deposit that i cashed out form VC so i can withdraw this money/winnings).

Now having 125 at RV, and $175 at VictorChandler i now have .50/1 stakes!

Can't wait to Hit paradise with $200 to get my $100 bonus, Then im going to purchase PokerTracker, Download gameview(the free software right?) and join PartyPoker to play .50/1.

THANKS 2+2 - VERY HELPFULL AND SSH IS THE BEST BOOK I've READ+OWN.

PokeHer.

FYI - Hate to rain on the parade

Granny Mae Bonus Gone

But Granny states a $100 code is available from cardplayer and should be easy to find. Good luck.

Congrats dude, I did exactly what you did and am now loving it at .5/1. Seriously though, I have just been whoring casinos for the last couple of days, and you'd be amazed how easy this money is. At least try Starluck and Planetluck, total of $170 in ev (not to mention the 40 odd bucks you get for 5 minutes of answering questions, as well as the 60 odd from an affiliate site {which I'm not related to, but PM me if you want}). Anyway, good luck, and keep us updated.

Hey, How much did you need to deposit for this $170bonus?

Ive only got $300 in total, and will give myself this week to work it up to a bit more so i can still play these sites(under bankrolled) so i can multitable maybe.

Cheers,
PH

Hey, the starluck and planetluck bonuses are each 100% to $100 bucks. You need to play 1600 hands of bj on each, givig each an EV of $88. Of course, you can lose, but I think Homer worked it out as being 3%chance you don't make money, which incidentally is less than the chance of KK all in with AA.
On top of this, if you sign up through an affiliate, bonusbonus.net, they'll give you 30 bucks for each sign up (I'm not related, and although I haven't got my money from them yet they seem pretty good)
Wait though, there's more. On each skin, you can sign up for the iglobalmedia rewards club, and fill out a questionaire. For this, you get $21 for 5 minutes work, cashable immediately. Rinse and repeat for the other skin, and you're laughing.
So in total, you get about $260 free from these guys, for extremely low risk. When I did it, I went down to $145 on on, up to $240 on the other, and together with the other extras, I came out way ahead. This sort of money makes a difference, especially when you're rolled for .25/.5.

I think for the paradise bonus, its on a banner on the cardplayer site, so it might be worth looking. Another thing which might be useful is the Pacific bonus. I think its 100% to $100 dollars. Although the site blows hard, the beauty is that you can play with the bonus, and cash out your deposit (although this takes about 5 days, so don't do it if you need your cash on hand). There's no point clearing the bonus, it will take forever at low limits. What I did is take a shot at the 1/2 games (plays like stars .05/.1) with the 100 bucks they gave me, and I cashed out anything I had above $100. In all, it was fairly profitable.

Anyway, good luck.

Edit: Edited because I can't add up

Yeah man, blackjack. I was terrified before I did these, but its really not that bad. Just follow the basic strategy (www.wizardofodds.com) and you'll do fine. The house edge is 0.008%, so like I said, you really should come out on top.

congrats. It's nice to hear other guys making it happen too.

About the casino whoring. It is easy money, VERY easy money. Just be careful. I would recommend waiting till your bankroll is big enough that losing 200 bucks at blackjack won't sting so bad. I think it is good advice and everybody should do it, but I wouldn't risk 2/3 of my BR playing BJ.

Good luck and have fun!!

Ben
