AA in BB
$2/$4 NL...my very 1st hand at the table I get AA in the BB
UTG (very good player) limps, UTG+1 limps, SB min raises, then I reraise to $32. UTG folds, UTG+1 and SB both call. Hero ($400) UTG+1($500) SB ($150) The pot is $100. The flop comes QJ9 with 2 spades (I dont have the As). The SB bets $4, I raise to $60 and they both call. Ugh! Pot is now $280. The turn is a 4. WHat do you here with out of position with a large pot and draws everywhere. If its just me and the SB I pit him all in and just see what happens, but with UTG+1 in there, I have a problem. Ideas? |

Re: AA in BB
this sb moron is seriously effing up your pot. totally defining your hand for utg guy. yuck. VERY irritating. would utg coldcall PF without a PP with the betting still open for nervous minraising idiot? would he now slowplay a set on THAT board? would he limp with 99-JJ? you say hes real good, does that mean youve played with him alot? id say you better hope utg limps with TT...

Re: AA in BB
which cards are the spades?
if the Q is not, UTG could hold KQs, AQs, because he limped UTG+1, he'll probably check behind if you check to knock off a free card, and then if a non draw card comes, fire off a blocking bet i might check/fold this hand...there's a good chance you're behind, and even if you're not, the river could screw things up...tough hand. |

Re: AA in BB
Such is life with AA, my guess is has already made his straight off the flop. Be careful, AA has a tendency to blind people's poker vision. With your $60 raise, which was called, should tell you that your playing against a made hand. Most of the time!?!
