What do these swings mean?
I was just looking through my PT stats and graph and came across these wild swings, I didn't really pay much attention to them while playing, because I 4-table most of the time and didn't really notice these swings. What do they mean? The chart has never gone this wild as its been mostly steady up. P.S. Sorry for the poor chart Im a noob at this and did my best. (If anyone could tell me how to put the chart directly on the site I would really appreciate it, thx)

Re: What do these swings mean?
you are having 100BB swings up and down playing 6-max (and NL too).
Everyone has these. They mean that your swings are kinda tame compared to most. |

Re: What do these swings mean?
The graphs show me you are playing poker and not earning your money from a job. You will have swings, 100BB swings are very common going down and more common going up, learn to love them.

Re: What do these swings mean?
These swings are not abnormal for full ring, and are normal for 6 max.

Re: What do these swings mean?
I would try to assign a date with which site these swings occur. You keep a Poker Journal-yes? If not, just get a spiral notebook and log your sesions/overall stats with any personal internal comments. Like: didn't play well-just broke up with girlfriend; was in the zone after tourney win; etc....
What can be uncovered is: what happened at ~7k; ~9k; ~16k; ~18k hands. Was it a different site? Was it a lack of quality sleep? Flu? At 18k, your trendline starts to flatten with some broad swings after. Overconfident/too loose? Etc... You get the idea. Anyway, overall your trendline is definately in the positive. All the best |

Where did you get that graph from Poker Tracker. I use PT but have not seen a graph feature.

You can customize it to your own settings too, ex. Date range, hand range, certain limits, and different types of graphs. Heres the link: www.pokergrapher.com/appfiles/PokerGrapherInstallv135.exe |

Re: What do these swings mean?
Be grateful that your swings are as small as they are. At larger limits with lower win rates you will see 100BB swings in 1K hands daily. BTW, move up already for christs sake.
