Default 30-60 Splashy Hand

Villian seems aggro, but not nuts. Comments? What would you do if he bet the end instead?

Thanks,
Jeff

I think its a good splashy hand. You gotta fold the river if he bets I would think.

i think you need to checkcall the turn. a downside to checkraising is that if villain just calls you make 1 bet with a flush when you would have made 2 by checkraising the river with villain in the lead. i dont see a better hand folding the turn either.

I personally liked the turn checkraise, The ace is a nice scare card, the hero has up to 14 outs if he is called assuming hes behind, the villain only needs to fold here a small percentage of time to make this play profitable, and lastly, the hero may still have the best hand anyways.

The upside (imo) is that he may fold on the turn and then I don't have to make a flush to win, particularly if he is on air. Also if he calls and I make the flush then I still get three bets on the late streets (two on the turn and one on the river).

Default RESULTS

My opponents had Q8o for no pair. So I won...interestingly, if he bets the end, I probably have to lay down.

Villian could have a lot of hands to make a button raise and follow through on the flop and turn (partic when the ace scare card hits the turn). My raise could easily get him to fold something like K10, KJ, KQ, etc. Possibly a pair lower than aces also. When he calls, what do I beat if he bets the river besides busted spades (doesn't seem likely).
