Default moneyline vs. point spread? any studies?

are there any studies of moneyline vs. point spread???

i have a theory that football scores are not normally distributed at all. i know that winning margins often fall on 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, but i mean more that alot of margins will be bunched with the underdog just barely winning, but winning nonetheless.

also, should a moneyline on a 6 point NCAA and NFL spread be the same?? my thought is that the odds of a 6 point underdog winning is much higher in NCAA than NFL. is this reflected in the moneylines???... i may go check right now, but curious if there are any studies etc. on this.. thanks in advance!
