Bad or unlucky play?
6 players laft; blinds at 50/100 (increasing next hand; 15 min intervals). folded to LAG in cutoff with stack of approx. 1750, who calls for 100. I am in SB with 99 and stack of 600. I have VERY tight image, having had only one playable hand so far, which went the wrong way. BB has about same stack as me, and is also tight. I raise all-in. BB calls all-in, CU folds. BB shows JJ, which holds up.
Did I pull the trigger too fast/too hard here; or just run into the wrong cards with the correct play? I "knew" I would get a call if I committed T300 or less, so I figured it was all in or nothing. |

Re: Bad or unlucky play?
99 in the SB with 1 limper is a pretty good steal situation for you. With 6xBB you're in all-in or fold mode and I can't see you folding this hand being so low in chips. Running into an overpair is unlucky. You made the right play.

Re: Bad or unlucky play?
6x the BB this is an easy push. Bad luck.

Re: Bad or unlucky play?
Yeah, 6x BB with 99... Can't do much here.

Re: Bad or unlucky play?
I'd be slamming it in with a lot less than that. Any ace, any pair, decent kings.
