BB defense 75/150 w/good stack
Party $4K Guaranteed $5 Rebuy, early in 2nd hour.
Folded to CO, who has 4834 and bets 600. Two folds and I have 5c8c in the BB. The CO seemed solid, and had hit some basic hands in the first hour. I had played some pots aggressively with overpairs, but had played tightly otherwise. I believe this is the first chance he had to steal my blind. I have 7465 and call. 1275 to the flop: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet 750, CO reraises to 1800. 1050 to me and I fold. Standard play? Should I wait until I have a better read on the CO before making a play like this?

if CO is solid hes not going give you his chips if you hit your hand. Also he doesnt have enough chips to warrant a call on implied odds to me. If hes a complete donk and has me covered then i call, otherwise fold. On a draw like this I check/call to keep the pot small and re evaluate on the turn.
