Default $400 - nasty spot with bottom set

6-max $400

CO raises to 15, I call on button with 33, BB calls.

Flop is Q93 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checked to me I pot it. Then BB CR to $150. I have $660 he covers.

BB seems pretty decent & I have no reason to think he's messing around, though something like A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Qx is possible I think.

Don't know if he gets away from this if the board pairs & he has flush.

What's your plan?

Ugly, I call and reassess on turn.

Only a played half a dozen orbits, but he is tight PF and seems sensible post-flop.

I also like calling and reevaluating the turn.

Why do you reevaluate in this spot with only one Pot size bet left? Does that mean pushing any turn that isn't a diamond?

Hero has one PSB left, and I would expect villian to pot the turn OOP here. Isn't just callng giving a cheap card to a diamond? I am sure if you pushed the flop, villian would feel he had to call(b/c of the pot), with something like AA/KK/AQ with a diamond.

I really don't know what to do here, it's close I think. Any of the veterans care to chime in?

I think it's close as well. Maybe in retrospect I lean towards just folding here. Really depends on how tight BB's calling standards are & how much suited crap he'll call the PF raise with.

Is it correct to assume, that if we call flop and he fires again on the turn, there is no made hand he can have that we beat? Which means we are only good if he has a draw like Ad Qx (which he has to consider a draw if he is decent). I think it's safe to call flop and muck if he bets the turn (Turn pot will be $350-ish and we'll have like $490 left). Check-raising the flop and leading the turn is a quite unusual way to play a draw on this board IMO. Also note that there is only one draw out there that he should give this much action with, i.e. Ad Qx (2 combos).

The only problem as I see it is if he were to lead the turn for like less than 1/2 pot.

I prolly call and fold turn if he bets properly. I would not blame you for just folding the flop though.
