There's plenty of weird and unexplained (to me, anyway) stuff relating to 9/11. I'm finding it really hard to reconcile some of the facts with the official version of what happpened.

It's difficult to even look into because conspiracists sort of take for granted that what they're saying is true, and also because most rebuttals that I've seen of the common 9/11 conspiracy stuff tend to just characterize the conspiracists as whackjobs and not really address any of the anomalous incidents surrounding 9/11.

If anyone has a good source for rebuttals of the common 9/11 conspiracy claims I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: This Popular Mechanics article seems to do a pretty good job.

I don't really go in for conspiracy theory's but it has always bugged me why the wreckage of the Towers was just basically re-destroyed during the clean-up operation rather than be treated as evidence in what was perhaps the worst crime ever perpetuated.

I dislike conspiracy theories immensely, can anyone show some different points of view?

If it wasn't the flight then where did it go?

Well, it's pretty much fact that Flight 93 was shot down.

Quote from Rumsfeld himself:

And I think all of us have a sense if we imagine the kind of world we would face if the people who bombed the mess hall in Mosul, or the people who did the bombing in Spain, or the people who attacked the United States in New York, shot down the plane over Pennsylvania and attacked the Pentagon, the people who cut off peoples' heads on television to intimidate, to frighten -- indeed the word "terrorized" is just that. Its purpose is to terrorize, to alter behavior, to make people be something other than that which they want to

Media says Rumsfeld misspoke.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/12/27/rumsfeld.flt93/

But seriously, how could he say that on accident?

There are accidents that we know are accidents, and then there are accidents that are not accidents, but there are also accidents that we don't know are accidents, and some accidents are actually accidental.
