Default respected or misunderstood?

in a small to middle limit cash game (between 4/8 and 15/30), would you rather be respected and feared by your opponents, or thought of as a total fish who happens to be getting lucky?

i think in a small limit game it would be better to be thought of as lucky.

I guess if your respected, you expect to pull off a few plays here and there, but even tho they respect your hand, low limit players will still call enough that it isnt worth the bluff.

When my preflop raise rakes the blinds it's usually time to leave.

Especially when you're BB, it's folded to SB, and he just called.

I would prefer to take advantage of the image the cards have given me so far, rather than try to force an image.

Most of the time this means 'feared & respected' and I take advantage of it. Some of the time it means 'luckbox' and I wind up having a huge night. Some of the time half the table (or more) has no clue anyhow, and I just play straightforward poker against those players.

I am with the majority here. I have a pretty clueless image because of my quirky personality (I am partially insane). I find it gets me more action even in an otherwise tight game. Quack quack.

I do not care which image I have, but I feel I have an edge if I know what my openent image of me is.

I assume this is a sarcastic statement?

in low-limits I've already replaced my bluffing with an arsenal of value-betting. Therefore I'd rather get payed off further on these bets.

I don't know where the point is that you'd rather take down more pots uncontested.

I tend to follow Machiavelli's theorising: If you can't be loved, be feared. Only problem is that love results in respect, whilst fear results in cowed behaviour. If someone developed some balls or makes a lucky call, the image can be dispelled. So I generally prefer to ignore the whole image thing and concentrate on my opponents.
