Default Did i get maximum value on this hand, or should i have gone for more?

Villian in this hand has loosened up a bit. He was short stacked, and has caught a heater and climbed back in it, but still haven't seen him doing anything really out of line.

Hero: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Pre-flop:

UTG folds. UTG+1 folds. MP calls. MP+1 folds. LP folds. CO folds. HERO calls. SB calls. Villian checks.

Flop (board: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]):

SB checks. Villian bets 300. MP folds.
Hero calls. SB folds.

Turn (Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]):

Villian checks. Hero checks.

Should i have bet here given the amount of outs i had, or was i correct in checking to try and make my hand for cheap?

River (K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]):

Villian bets 700. Hero raises to 2000.
repaermirg calls.

Should i have raised more or did i get out of this hand what was pretty much expected?

River looks fine. Anything above that the only people that are goin to call is a higher straight or a split.

On the turn I definitely would have semi-bluffed to take the pot down there. But checking behind him lets you see the river without having the risk of him raising you off your draw. If you think the man will fold on the turn, then bet. If hes aggressive and you dont know where you stand, check behind him.
