[ QUOTE ]
Hello all,
I am going on a cruise soon and I was considering playing some blackjack there. I already know how to count, but I have been told by some poeple that you dont have to if you use a proper betting strategy. I was wondering if anyone has had any success at this. Also, has anyone used the Gregorian strategy to any success? Thanks alot.

You need to count. No betting strategy along can turn a negative expectation game into a positive one.

Gregorian is not sound mathematical strategy. DO NOT USE IT.

if you can find out the table rules for the cruise you are taking, you can generate a free basic strategy chart at www.blackjackinfo.com to take with you.

you don't have to count in order to have a good time and not lose a ton of money, but the questions you ask here suggest that you're not ready to spread your bets out yet relative to the RC/TC and your RoR. especially out at sea where game regulation is minimal, I would be happy just with basic strat and maybe a good round of shuffleboard on the side.
