Vegas Brick and Mortar WSOP ME Satellites
Two Of my friends want to go to Vegas with me but haven't qualified online for a seat to the Main Event. Can anyone give us the rundown on any games running satellites to the main event? I would assume the Rio is, but not sure if any other casinos are. How much are the satellites to enter, how big is the field usually and how many will be running until the event starts Thursday.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Vegas Brick and Mortar WSOP ME Satellites
Word is that online sites prebought 4500 seats leaving only 2100 to B & M's and others. A friend of mine went to the 11th event of the WSOP and said that they were stopping the Satalites June 22nd. So unless they are changing the Cap of 6600 or there are seats being held back then I dont think when u get there u will be able to play yourself in.

I find it hard to believe party, ultimate, paradise, bodog, fulltilt and the others are taking the remainder 3000. I could be wrong but, if you have played on their sites they just didnt have the promotion PokerStars did. Do you have any clue of who I could contact to find a definitive answer? I guess I could call the Rio itself, but I've heard that is a nightmare with all they have going on |

Just go down to the Rio, I'm sure there will be plenty of satellites running in the next couple of days.

Re: Vegas Brick and Mortar WSOP ME Satellites
The Rio is the only B&M having official WSOP satellites and where all the action is.
I've been playing the satellites the past few days and it is picking up quite nicely. For July 5 & 6, the 10am tournament is $200 + $25 super satellite w/rebuys the first 90 minutes. $200 gets you $200 in chips. Rebuy another $200 with less than $200 in chips, single or double add on at the break regardless of chip count. Blinds for the first three levels (30 min) are 5/10, 10/20, 15/30. After the break, levels are 20 minutes and start out at 25/50. Breaks are every 60 minutes after the first break. Just saw a friend of mine win his second $10,000 seat in three days playing this tournament (he got $10,000 in tournament chips after winning the second one). About 160 entered and w/ rebuys there were 7 $10,000 seats given out (plus $300) with four money places after that. At the very end, blinds were 800/1600 with 200 antes. Tourney started at 3pm and ended around 8pm. Mega satellites are at 3pm and 7pm the next couple of days and are $1000 + $60 with a seat for every 10 players entered. The past few days they have been giving out about 14 - 15 seats and I'm sure it will be the same for the next four mega satellites. There are always single satellite $1000 + $30 going on and there's plenty of action. Hope this helps. |
