Default Bankroll questions

I am mainly a one table tournament player but have had some recent success in 1/2 NL ring on both stars and party. I'm quite sure that I am underbankrolled. So my specific question is.

what is the needed bankroll for ongoing regular ring game play at this limit. I know that I want to buy in to the game at 100BBs but I'm thinking more long term. For example in single table tournaments the belief is somewhere between 30-50 buy ins. Would this be a good place to start for NL ring? Thank you in advance.

SAM

p.s. I looked through a faq that someone linked to and still found no answer so please turn flame throwers to "low"

Default Re: Bankroll questions

recreational player, the money doesn't matter much, but you want a reasonable risk of ruin: 10 buy-ins

semi-pro or more serious hobbyist, you never want to replenish from outside money and cash out money occassionally: 15-25 buy ins

pro, you live out of your bankroll: 30-50 buy ins

also, you must not have looked very hard. in both of those links i posted there is a question that specifically deals with bankroll size. ctrl-F, "bankroll"
