JJ limp re-raise fun
live 1-3 NL
Villan has about 150 and I cover him. I cracked his Aces when I turned a straight and busted him. He plays almost everyhand, some like a maniac. He has told me is coming for my stack. He probably thinks I am weak-tight I limp UTG+1 with JJ, some donk min-raies to 6 4 callers around to me. I call and raise 30 more fully expecting to take down the pot. Villian calls on the button. Flop, KT8(suits not important) I bet 50, villian thinks for about one minute(much longer than his norm) and goes all in for 67 more. As I am pondering my next move he says "If you fold I will show you" Whats my move? |

Re: JJ limp re-raise fun
I would say don't limp re-raise against donks without the goods.
I really can't see how you are good here. |

Re: JJ limp re-raise fun
i think you fold to his K9s... i don't necessarily like the 50 dollar bet though, but it's not terrible

Re: JJ limp re-raise fun
After he pushes there's ~$190 in there and it's $67 to you.
This is a sucky hand. I think I fold. You're getting near 3:1 but I really think you're behind. It doesn't seem he'd bluff in this spot, with you showing as much aggression as you did. He's got you beat, and I would fold to spare him the satisfaction of doubling through on me. |

Re: JJ limp re-raise fun
At first I would think fold. But his comment in the hand may make me lean to calling. Maybe it is just me but when someone says they will show if I fold they usually don't have it and don't want u to call and look them up. After the comment I might call.

For god's sake don't bet this flop if you aren't going to call the all in.

Thoughts and Results
Thanks for the replies everyone.
I thought about it for maybe 30 seconds and called. I was getting a great price on my call and my gut was screaming CALL so I put in another 67. I hit a runner runner straight but it turns out the guy had air anyways. I hate to be results oriented but I feel like I trusted my instincts more than anything and made a boardline call. During the hand I thought I was getting 3-1 on my call. Turns out it was 3.8-1. I bet the flop for value. This guy could have been calling me with almost any two. When he went all in I was getting 3.8-1 on my money, and based on his actions and my instincts I felt this was a call. I am still not totally sure if this is a good call though. Getting 3.8-1 is a great price but I think I am beat too often. I could tell this wasnt an acting job on his part but I think there are too many occasions where he will show me K-whatever. I think its really close...but since I bet the flop I almost priced myself into the call. I had to make a tough call right?> |
