Help!!!
I'm becoming freaking setaphobic. Right now... you're probably asking yourself, what the hell is setaphobia? Do I have it? How do I find out?
You can relax now... it's not a real disease persay; rather a poker syndrome. Fear of sets Common symptoms; -- Fear of getting trapped with an overpair vs a set -- Shitting your pants every time you see a raggedy flop and someone betting -- Saying [censored] like "I know someone has a set here" -- Folding AA on dry boards for hurrendously good pot odds. I just realized, I'm setaphobic sometimes. Enjoy... 25$ NL, 25$ effective stacks. I open A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG for 5xBB... 4 callers Pot 6$ flop 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] -- BB bets 3$, I raise to 9$, BB calls Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] -- pot 23$ -- BB bets 15$ (I have 12 left, so 12 to call) I fold. As soon as I hit the fold button... I realized just how bad this fold really was. Sometimes, all you can do is laugh. Any other setaphobes out there? |

Re: Help!!!
I think that if you're going to fold the turn, fold the flop. I don't think it's necessarily a bad fold because I think you're ahead, I think it's a bad fold getting 3:1 on that board.

Re: Help!!!
just remember someone is 16 to 1 to pick up a PP, and a lil less then 7 1/2 to 1 to flop a set, So unless theres like 9 people to the flop i worry about it rarely unless someone check checks, and overbets the river.

Re: Help!!!
Pretty easy call to me, villain could have 55-KK, 3 of which you are behind. Also not many people bet into the PFR with sets, they're usually doing it with small pairs/PPs to test you
