Default First trip to the bike

Hey all

I just moved to cali from the east coast and gave the bike a try last night.

First impressions were bunch of crazy asian players and a whole bunch or grumpy white players, one guy kept calling the dealer a f*****g c**t under his breath when he missed his draws, is this the norm and do ther usually get away with this.

By the way i was playing 3/6 holdem and got hosed.

pirate.

Hi Pirate,

Yes, unfortunately you will see more of these grumpy players. It's shocking, isn't it? There will probably be the same type of players, if not the SAME players, at Commerce or Hawaiian Gardens also. LA is not the best at keeping order at the tables.

However, I think out of all the main casinos in the LA area, the Bike normally has the best floor when it comes to controlling dealer abuse. I am sorry to see that you saw the worst of it on your first day. Perhaps the great games will help you overlook the horrible people. Try it again, you are bound to run into much nicer players, and perhaps a better outcome.

The Bike has cracked down on dealer abuse. It used to have a reputation as having the worst abuse in the world.

I play quite often at Hawaiian Gardens, and I think the floor actually does a good job at controlling dealer abuse. They easily put players on "time-outs" and support the dealers. I've heard only bad things about the rudeness at the Bike and how the floor does nothing to control it. The only worse place I've heard of in the LA area is Hollywood Park, where people have told me that lowlifes will steal the food right off of your tray and that people have been stabbed in the parking lot. Nice.
I think Hawaiian Gardens is known as a pretty good place all the way around. Haven't heard much bad about Commerce (have yet to go there).

This reminds me of the first time I played at Commerce after moving to Arizona from NY 8 years ago. I played 20-40 S8 and there was a sign on the wall near the table that said, among other things, that dealer abuse would not be tolerated. After 2 hours I grabbed a floorman and told him that they had to change the sign to *dealer abuse is required* because that would more accurately reflect what was going on. I see things haven't changed all that much.

btw: Say things like that twice to a dealer at Casino Arizona and you'll be on your way out the door.
