I have some money I want to invest. I know nothing about anything related to the stock market. I've started reading some books. Luckily, I am very close friends with someone who's life is finance and the stock market. He mentioned buying ishares instead, and said he'd work with me to create a diverse portfolio of these things and learn more about the market. Anyone use these? How exactly do they work/what are they? Gonna start learning more.... Thanks.
