200 NL bottom set
New to this forum, sorry if this is the wrong area.
Just joined the game, no reads on anyone. ---- Full tilt 6 handed BB ($203.70) SB ($98.80) Hero ($208.10) UTG ($40.05) MP ($194.50) CO ($186.50) Preflop: Folded to me, I limp on the button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Both blinds are in. Flop: ($6) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets $6, BB calls $6, Hero raises $20, SB calls, BB calls. Turn: ($66) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img](3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero raises to $60, SB folds, BB raises to $120. ? What now? On the flop I put the BB on some kinda straight or flush draw. Maybe J10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Should I push? Call and push any non-spade river? I don't see him calling that much on a gutshot 67. fold? |

Re: 200 NL bottom set
I'm pretty sure he has 67 but you're obviously calling any river anyway so push.

Raise preflop.
As played, push. |

Re: 200 NL bottom set
Raise pre-flop. I do not allow the blinds to limp. I want them to VP$IP so I can begin the process of narrowing down their hand range. This raise could be any number of things, like nut flush draw, K9, K8, K5, 95, 98, or the really ugly 99. Of course the flip side is what does your bet pattern indicate to BB? Clearly you have at least a good K and your bet on the turn makes a draw unlikely.
I don't like a call here. So it's either push or fold. With no read I'm going to give him credit for the middle set and fold. |

Re: 200 NL bottom set
Raise pre-flop. And raise flop to 30-40. BB could call your flop raise with 67 because of the price he is getting and the fact that his hand is concealed and he knows you have a big hand.
On turn you should just push it in, because your gonna call a river bet anyway, right? |
