Re: Flopped Set No Good?
ch/r on the flop man. You're in the best position relative to the pfr. You know he'll bet here with QK (assuming thats what he has since uou folded), you'll trap bets in the middle and you can push on the flop (if youre up vs over-set, sucks but what can u do). TJ is not a happy board since broadway have gutshots and there are tons of OESD; you want the money in fast. Even if you don't feel the raiser is soemone who will bet this flop, look at all the calls from the LP your bet called, clearly someone has some hand they're willing to bet. Ch/r the flop and you're golden; personally I push here cause you'll get calls from TJ (JA maybe) and a small raise instills doubt on the turn: its hard to lead out again unless its a less than 7.
I understand your thinking by betting out into the pfr hoping for a raise but if you're hoping he'd raise.. with all those people in between i'd rather ch/r. Your line is one i reserve for headsup play where its much much more likely he'll raise my bet. Even with KK the pfr might not raise into a few callers. If no one bets well then u keep the pot small out of position which isn't so bad and you assume no one has a piece of anything for a take-down on 4th street. |

Re: Flopped Set No Good?
Raise the turn to 30 after SB bets out. Maybe 40.

Re: Flopped Set No Good?
And what if MP1 raises? what do I do if MP1 calls behind me on the river?
The reason I like my line is a get a chance to fill up on the river |

Re: Flopped Set No Good?
Awesome birthday present. Hand was played perfect IMO. Someone clearly hit a straight on the turn, so you try and boat up on the river. And when he comes over the top of your blocking bet, you have to fold.
