Default Super System 2 – Book Review

It sucked. I was very disappointed.

...ya, I was never really interested in buying it. And haven't heard much good about it since the book came out.

Honestly, I don't know how you can get any better than the 2+2 books.

Thanks for the review, though. I definetly won't be getting SS2.

Hard to argue with such a detailed and well-reasoned review.

I have only read the O8 section so far. While most of the material is covered in other places, reading a clear presentation from a different source and perspective always helps in learning the strategy. And it does cover some topics that other books don't. For example, the section on short-handed play is good, and rarely discussed by others.

If the book costs $30, I'd say this section alone is worth about half of that. I look forward to reading the rest of it.

I don't think it was bad. The pretty much unchanged Brunson material on NLHE is the real classic. However, I thought there was good stuff in this one.

It hasn't made as big a splash as recent 2+2 books "Harrington on Holdem" and "Small Stakes Holdem", but I would think any pro or semipro player would want a copy.
