i think its all good up till the turn

when he bets out on the turn it looks a bit dodgy to me - if he really wanted to put chips into the pot because he thinks he is in front then a check raise seems a more obvious line - that said i think the most important thing in this spot is considering what your going to do on the river - your hand is unlikely to improve enough to beat him if he is in front and its big odds if you just call that you will then face a fat river bet

i'm a weak tight specialist so i like folding to the turn bet

Yeah it wasn't easy to get a read on his hand. I thought he might do the limp-reraise from UTG with AA or KK so I decided just to call his reraise. And that flop bet wasn't really worth much, so then my thoughts were he was on queens, AQs maybe? He didn't like that flop, that much I could tell. Turn card was a minor scare, so I just called that bet. When he pushed me all-in on the river I felt I had to call. It was 780 into a ~3k pot.

He had pocket tens.

I like the way you played it. You shouldn't be worried at all until the turn.

It's a scare card, but his bet out shows weakness. If you assume he's weak, you either call and hope for a bluff on the river, or you raise to force out a possible draw.

With draws not too likely (even though it turns out he has one), I'd play it the way you did (You had a straight draw too).

Since you called the turn rather than raising, you have to call the river because you smooth called to induce the bluff (maybe you didn't, but I would've).

Keep posting hands.
