Default 66 on all undercard flop

I have 1k. Villain has 800. 15/30 level

He limps in UTG+1. UTG+2 min-raises. One guy calls. I call on the button with 66. UTG+1/Villain calls.

Flop is 5 3 2r Pot is around 300. It's checked to me and I bet 300. UTG+1 moves in for 440 more and it's folded to me.

Buy-in?

EDIT: Or should we assume based on your avatar that this is a $5000+300

uhboy, tough one. smells like a made hand to me. i see an overbet more often from EP than the C/R-push, on a rag flop like this. could be a piece w/ a draw - pissed he didn't get the free card. but awfully early for that kind of aggression (too much credit perhaps). i'd have to believe i'm beat - fold.

If its a lower buying I think there's some chance of A5 sooted here, but otherwise I think you're going to be seeing 77-99 or some sort of set here. I don't think he's doing this with just overcards. I generally don't like messing around with low pocket pairs that flop an overpair, there's too much out there that's beating you or will be.

Should my flop bet have been smaller?

A little out of my league, but I'll take a stab at it anyway...

I'd probably bet less on the flop and fold to the raise all-in. I think betting t200 gets very close to, if not the same results as t300. It saves you 100 chips and you can get away from the hand easier, if need be. As to villain's hand, it looks like a pp limped from ep, either higher than yours or 55, 33, or 22.

as far as your hand strength - no set, no bet. yeah, you have an overpair, but other than 44, every other pok pair is beating you (and 44 has outs).

If I were going to bet, it would not be b/c of my hand, it would be b/c of my position, and i would put in 200, folding to this RR.
