Default AKo in the BB w/lots of limpers

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $3.
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, MP3 (poster) checks, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (5 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP2 raises, MP3 folds, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, UTG+2 folds, MP2 calls, SB calls.

Turn: (9 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

River: (15 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final Pot: 15 BB

sb was a weird player, in that I couldn't get a real read on him. His play was erratic, and I didn't ever really know what he could be holding. He was playing a fair amount of hands, not tons of hands, but probably around 35% of his hands. his post flop play was also in the strange category as I had seen him get real excessive on odd draws and just weird hands in general

MP2 was okay at best, but he wasn't anything special and tended to overplay his hands.

now to the questions:

1. should I have raised PF? there were a lot of limpers and if my AK was suited I would've raised, but I wasn't sure with it being off suit. I also didn't want to bloat the pot uneccessarily PF here.

2. Given my read on the sb, was my cap excessive? I thought that he very well could've had a Ace with a lesser kicker. granted he could've had a set or two pair, but since the pot was so big, was I right to raise the flop.

3. My raise on the turn. was that also excessive. I wanted to protect my hand in a real big pot, but was that a chip spew.

PF is a 100% automatic raise. AQ too. AJ sometimes.
I'm slowing down after SB leads the turn. Why on earth did you check that river afdter you raised the turn?

honestly, I dunno. I'm getting used to three tabling, so I might've been in the middle of another hand at the same time and mixed up my actions

AK is a raise preflop. Flop looks okay, given your read of the SB. Turn raise is good. I'd value bet the river, every reason to think MP2 has a weaker ace and will call you.

I mostly raise here. If your game selection is any good (and from the action it looks like it is) you do better in the long run when you hit and your opponents are drawing thin. Tying 3-out villans to a big pot isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Before I read your description of SB I thought the turn raise excessive--flop seems standard. After I read it I like your play, though I think I'd bet the river. It really looks to me like MP is paying off a wrose ace. SB is sort of a wild card, but if he's that erratic I'm inclined to think a river bet is +EV.

My default would be to just call the turn bet. I'd really be baffled by the amount of action this guy is giving and try to show it down. Aside from some gutshots, this looks like a pretty drawless board. I'd expect to see 55 from a sane player, not sure what from this guy. If he's that erratic though, your turn raise makes a gutshot call a mistake, so if that's what MP is on its a great bloody raise.
