strange raise sizes (LC)
typically, throughout the course of the mtt, you settle into a 2.5xBB-4xBB, whatever your standard raise size is, and sort of stick with it.
but something seems to happen once the stacks get deep enough so that the raise sizes are in the 5 digit or higher amounts... people start making bizarre raises preflop. is there anything to this? is there some sort of "tell" that i'm missing out on? i'll see someone, at maybe 5000/10000 blinds, raise to like 26100 or something like that. but you never see someone raise to 261 at 50/100 blinds. what gives (for those of you who are disappointed with the content here, note the LC tag at the top) |
