Re: QQ in SB Critism Ideas Halp Meh
i've never been a big fan of the pre-flop raise, and then check on flop, esp if there's one caller... and especially if there are high cards on the board, that is, of course unless you have a monster hand. Put in a good-sized bet there. If he has something, he will call, but most likely, since you raised before the flop, he has to believe you hit at least some part of that flop. If he flat calls, then the situation is open to analysis, but I think you have to bet out here - and not a wimpy bet, a good-sized bet, maybe like $8.

agree. 2/3-pot sized bet. if he calls you're done with the hand.

Re: QQ in SB Critism Ideas Halp Meh
what hand calls 6x the BB that doesnt hit on that flop?
JJ is the only thing i can beat there So why bet 2/3 the pot when its just lost money unless hes JJ or worse |

Re: QQ in SB Critism Ideas Halp Meh
The point is not what hand will call 6x BB on that flop.
The point is that there are many hands that cannot call 6x BB on that flop but will take the lead due to position if you don't put in a continuation bet on that flop. |
