Default Will casinos cash checks??

I've heard that casinos will cash payroll checks. If this is true would they also cash checks from Party Poker if you were to buy a rack of chips with it?

It has been my experience that they will NOT cash payroll checks. Nor will they cash third party checks.

They will cash your personal check.

Also, be prepared to spend time at the cage filling out paperwork as if you're taking out a mortgage. I think DOD Top Secret clearance is required as well, so you might want to make sure you don't have any troubles with the secret service.

It seems there's always a person doing this at the front of the line when I'm waiting to cash out, especially when I'm coming off a fresh suckout to end my night and I'm pissed off as it is.

In the movie "Vegas Vacation" the Mirage cashed a personal check for Clark Griswold because he was a guest of the hotel.

That's not true. Most casinos will cash payroll checks if it's drawn on a local bank and you're locally employed. However, since the original poster probably isn't a local, he'll need to call the casino ahead of time and ask for a line of credit. The casino will fax an application, you fill it out, they run a credit check on you, and, assuming everything is OK, give you a line of credit. You can then cash pretty much anything you want up to your credit limit. The whole process to get a line of credit usually takes at least 2 weeks, so you need to plan in advance.

True, but if you don't have a line of credit, they'll usually impose a rather low maximum on the amount they're willing to cash, usually about $300.

Station casinos had a promotion going where they would give prizes to locals who cashed their payroll check there. I don't think they cashed out of town payroll checks.

Most Vegas casinos will cash personal checks up to a certain amount if you have not cashed any other personal checks in town within a certain number of days. It used to be $500 within 5 days but that was a few years ago. This is one of those things I wish I did not know about.

I doubt anybody will take a check from PP.
