Home game tonight, 40NL 0.25/0.50, advice?
Played with these guys a few times before, a couple of solid players, the rest loose and not so good. Blinds $0.25/0.50, $40 max buy-in.
These days I'm used to tight ABC ring play on Party 25NL. But tonight it will be a more shorthanded game -- 5 to 7 -- and LAG/LPP-fest, with one or two sharpies maybe. Aside from trying to sit to the good player's left, how should I be adjusting my thinking? |

Try to have fun. Drink a couple beers and chill with the boys.
Seriously, it's a home game, just have a good time. |

The beers will be drunk, the pizza will be et, and fun will be had. It'll just be so much more fun if I pound my opponents into a fine paste. |

Re: Home game tonight, 40NL 0.25/0.50, advice?
I occasionally play in a game with the same $40 buy in but with 0.5/1.0 blinds, so its structure isn't as good as yours. Player wise, similar conditions though, 2-3 decent, thinking players, and the rest are LP's. I tend to play very similarly as I do online (ABC poker) and have had pretty decent success. With almost everyone limping in seemingly every other hand, I tend to play way more drawing hands in late position than I typically do. For me, the LP's tend to be even looser than the online LP's so expect variance to be even higher.
