Default Nice draw 5/10 - playing for stacks?

Hi - a friend of mine and I discussed this hand and agree that he played it right - but would like some other opinions too.
No HH so here goes

No specific reads on villian other than he takes his TPTK and the like too far - but not a maniac by any means.

Hero 87d (200BB)
Villain (100BB)

UTG calls, Villain calls, MP2 raises to 4xBB, Hero calles, folded to UTG who calls, Villain calls.

FLOP:

9c 4d 6d

UTG checks,
Villain raises 20xBB (pot),
MP2 folds,
Hero reraises to 60xBB
UTG folds,
Villain moves in for 40xBB mere,
I call...

How's the line?

Pretty routine, sucks if he has a set.

Looks ok to me - my only comment would be that the PF call could be somewhat questionable if Villain or UTG were known to limp-reraise.

Other than that, I like.

Hey AZK -

We thought so too, just wondering whether viliians stack size should be accounted for?

I think that you should make an all in raise and force villain to make a decision for all of his remaining chips. Obviously, you most likely have 15 outs, assuming villain does not have a set or higher flush draw. An all-in raise gives you a better chance of winning the hand on the flop, but if villain does call, you may be a slight favorite going into the river.

Come to think of it, I like this line better. I think a set is calling either line but a higher flush draw is more likely to fold to this line.

Agreed. I think an all-in raise is infinitely better.

Is it really necessary to move all in here. I agree a slightly bigger raise might be in order just to remove all doubt in villain's mind of him coming over the top for all his chips and hero folding. But, doesn't moving in, and thereby overbetting the pot x2 just make it to obvious that hero is drawing? That would be my concern. On the contrary, I would play 66, 99 just like this, which is what Hero is also trying to represent.

Probably a bet around 70BB would be better than 60BB?
However, while I think moving in would definitely make another flush draw fold, I am not so sure the 60BB raise will do it. This fact might tip the scale in favour of just moving in on the flop.
