Default quick 1/2 hand.

Not exactly high stakes for most of you guys but...

$1/2 on Stars. Very first hand. Know nobody at the table.

I get Kh9s in the BB. 2 MP limpers ($27 and $86) and the SB ($46) completes. I check ($200). 4H to flop of:

6h 9c Td.

SB bets 2 into the 8 pot. I call. ?
MP1 calls, MP2 makes it 8. SB folds, I call (too fishy, since I'm behind?). MP1 folds.

Turn Ks. I check raise his pot bet to set him in.

Whatcha think? Chocolate pudding or boiled cabbage? Routine or ugly?

So why post it in the High-stakes forum?

PS: your post is troll-like, fishy. You should try and fix that. Thanks for the input though.

I'd say it's a pretty bad play, no offense. You've gotta realize that the $2 bet is either a weak lead with a strong hand (9T, a set or 78 for the made straight) or a weak semi-bluff with JQ. The $8 raise sounds like he's got a T, and if he has KT, your 2 pair are no good, and if either of those guys have 78 or jq, you're still screwed. I probably would have bet outright for information and folded to a considerable reraise.

I put the flop raiser on a very likely ten and played to catch 2 pair or better. Raising the initial small bet may have let me find out where I'm at more easily if I'm really toast.

It worked out vs AT, but I thought I caught a whiff of fish coming off me after .

dog if you visted this forum a lot you'd realize there are a lot of posts like yours that start out of the same tag line.

just post in the small stakes forum, that is why it is there.

oh man.

I don't know about others but i come to 2+2 to learn some poker. I see 1/2 hands in both mid-high and low stakes PL/NL, so i post here hoping to get the best responses.

If you're only concern is elitism and snitting, then I definitely should post next time elsewhere.

Why spend your energy writing these posts guys?

Credit to PoBoy321 for actually wanting to talk poker.

signing off,

dogs

this hand is not mid-high stakes, it belongs in the small stakes forum.

go ahead and post some $3/6 limit hands in the mid-high stakes limit forum because "you want to get better responses" and see what happens.

i don't have any problems with elitism and snitting, because the highest i've played is $200NL with $2/4 blinds, and only about 2,000 hands worth. In fact, I don't even play NL cash games for the moment.

I spend the energy writing these posts so that you'll learn to post in the correct forum, and not to throw a fit when people are just trying to let you know that.
