$100 NL flopped set on monotone board
Opponent is loose and aggressive.
Did I blow my load too quickly? Mind you, I thought there was some chance that this opponent would come back over the top with a worse hand. Re: $100 NL flopped set on monotone board
With a sole opponent, you're hoping he'll go over the top with something like AA with the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or has the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] with something else, otherwise I think you have to pretty much push this or call an all-in if he goes over you. You have outs in worst case scenarios...well maybe not if he has 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], but I'll take that chance.
I'm hoping you're not thinking of simply calling the flop and possibly letting a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] turn card scare you out of the pot. Garland |

Garland [/ QUOTE ] Against this opponent, I'd have called an all-in, even if a spade had come off. The question I suppose is whether I'm better off smooth calling the flop and letting him make an overbet on the turn to weed out the flush draws. |
