Playing hands with 4-5 players in the pot (loose passive games)
in large multiway pots where there are 6-8 players, the suited connectors and small pocket pairs become very strong, since they win big when flushes, straights and sets flop. in pots where 2-3 players see the flop, the picture cards and big pairs become very strong.
but what are the hands to play in 4-5 way pots? the suited connectors and small pairs lose the odds they need to become playable. meanwhile the big premium hands like AA, KK regularly get beaten on the turn and the river by 2 pairs and straights! |

Re: Playing hands with 4-5 players in the pot (loose passive games)
4 handed with bad players gets you enough in implied odds to see a flop cheaply. Big hands get busted. It happens, get used to it. AA will always be your biggest winner by far, and in my DB it wins 70% of the time. So 30% of the time, it gets busted. The raise button is your friend.

Where is this game with 6-8 players to the flop, and what limits?

[/ QUOTE ] I saw your similar post at HUSH. I think you should play more poker and read less books. That means it's better to read one book and understand it, than read 10 and end-up completely confused. |
