Default RE: Final Table %

This is my first post so go easy people....its not one of those tell me how great i am im getting 50% ITM posts....all i'm wondering is what sort of pertantage of final tables i should be aiming at in MTT's....obviously it depends on amount of players and $ buy-in as regard skill level.... but say every thing is below $10 buying with around 300-500 players....if anyone can help it would be great.....

cheers

Don't set concrete goals for mtts. A player can make all the right moves and get knocked out before the first break in 15 tourneys in a row, or gump his way to 3 consecutive final tables with the right cards at the right time (Oh, you had AA? Good thing I hit my flush!). You should be more concerned with individual hands, and maximizing potential on each on a case by case basis.

The key to making $ in mtts is making the best possible decisions EVERY hand, based on information provided. Taking the right risks at the right times against the right playes in the right position.

% ITM... if only it were that simple...
