Not a shorthanded expert but

I still raise Pre flop, then bet out on the flop, look like he has a piece of the flop so you might even get a chance to three bet.

But I try to be a fan of playing straightfoward maybe this is a time to get tricky.

Raising the flop and checking the turn might allow you to checkraise the river, gaining one SB bet?

I would post in the Short handed section... its a very different game and most full ring players are not going to understand the nuances well enough to give the correct advice (myself included).

Question: was this a shorthanded game, a full game that recently went shorthanded, or a full game that went shorthanded quite some time ago?

Oh yes didn´t think of it as a shorthanded game as it was a full game that just went shorthanded. Should perhaps have specified that in the post but didn´t think so much of it...
