what to do with 77..
This hand was from last night, so I don't remember specific reads. I think most of the table was between 30-45% VP$IP, avg aggression. Couple of decent players I think?
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls, 2 folds, BB checks. Flop: (6.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 players) BB checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero calls, BB folds, UTG+1 folds. meh? a weak K or a six? Or just betting on a semi scary board? I probably should have folded here. Turn: (4.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls. ummm, ok? maybe he doesn't like his hand all that much, he checks to me- I bet. I planned to fold to a c/r here. River: (6.25 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) MP1 bets, Hero folds. good fold? I figured there were alot of ways I was beat, and the pot was fairly small. I didn't like my play anywhere in this hand. |

Re: what to do with 77..
Tough hand but I think I would lay it down on the flop:
You are getting 7.5:1 to call and you need at least 20:1 to call with your two outer. Plus I would consider it a steal of there were 2 or even 3 ppl in the pot, but with 5 others I doubt thats what hes going for. Btw, post 500. |

Re: what to do with 77..
I would fold this on the flop as well. With no draws on the flop it looks like MP1 has a K or a 6 and you only have 2 outs.

Re: what to do with 77..
I'll fold the flop. He's betting when 3 players are left to act behind him, not a bluff very often in my opinion. Calling down would be -EV IMO. Besides he is guaranteed to have strong redraws against you if he's behind.

Re: what to do with 77..
hi sin808,
you should fold this flop. a guy is betting into 3 players with 2 players behind him on a completely drawless board. he can face a raise from any and all angles, yet he likes his hand enough to bet here. give it to him. you can find a better spot to call against him, even if he is bluffing this time. |
