Default $33 Party MTT, AQ hand final table

$33 MTT, final table. I am shortish stacked, M = 5. The preflop raiser has had this standard raise with 55, AK, AJ, AT, A9, and has folded to all ins over the top with calling odds when he's made this preflop bet. I've been quiet, my table image is tight, I've shown down AA, KK, AK, AQ, QQ and that's about it in the last 100 hands, the villian has been at the same table(s) as me for the last 100 hands as well.

How would you play this hand to his raise from the SB? As you can see, two stacks are about to go out...

Thanks for the responses in advance,
Pokernewbie

I did push. Are any of you in favor of folding here to move up in the money or do you all think push?
Thanks BenNC

i would push this every time.
it would have been a different story if two some1 had already called the all in,which meant that if you folded there was a chance of you moving up.
but judging by the range of hands the villain could have ,its just too good a hand to fold.and if you win then you can really contend for the some real $$$

Thanks for the responses. Results in white:
Villian had AK, it held up, woops, 9th place!

The main thing is that I want to make sure I am making the right decisions in the late game. Thanks again for your feedback.

Considering you have 47k and villain has just raised to 1/3 his stack, I don't think you have any fold equity preflop. Looks like you could try a stop n' go here. You call preflop, leaving 27k behind, think a couple seconds after the flop comes, then push into the 46k pot no matter what flopped. Of course you want a call from AT and AJ hands preflop, but you don't want pairs and AK to call you preflop. You may or may not have the best hand. However, you said that villain has folded in similar situations. But I just can't see him denying 2.7 to 1 odds preflop if you push. However, if he whiffs the flop, he's going to have a tough decision calling off most of the rest of his chips w/ just ace high or 55 w/ 3 overcards. If he holds AJ and hits a J, that's not different than you pushing preflop and him calling. There's almost no way i'm folding AQ here given the hands villain has shown thus far. Pushing preflop is fine, but I think making a stop n' go is better.

I was considering the stop and go after I pushed. This is a play I haven't used much yet, but I would like to. I think you're right, that in this case, a stop and go would have been a better option than the push. He seemed like the type of player that would probably lay down a missed AK. Very good point, thank you.
