Deep stack PF play
PS $33 deep stack tourney
I'm pretty new to playing with deep stacks and don't play cash games just SnG's for the roll. No read on villian- hasn't been in too many hands. Fairly standard? or "no you dumb donk see a flop." PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) converter SB (t7950) BB (t4380) UTG (t6310) UTG+1 (t12035) MP1 (t7440) Hero (t19975) MP3 (t20240) CO (t5120) Button (t4940) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with Q, Q. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls t30, 1 fold, Hero raises to t150, MP3 calls t150, 2 folds, SB raises to t825, 1 fold, UTG+1 folds, Hero folds |

Re: Deep stack PF play
no, you call call that bet for set value alone. I would think your hand would also be best some percentage of the time. I would call and at least look at a flop.

Re: Deep stack PF play
Yea i dont think you can lay that down that easily...
but do you raise when villain bets out on a T high board? I think you're still likely best here.. so you have to play it for more than set value. What would you do on a T high flop MLG? Raise and then fold to a push/rereraise? or call and try and keep pot small and see what he does on turn. |

Re: Deep stack PF play
I'm in agreement with the others, this is a classic squeeze play and it is very possible you still have the best hand. I'd like a flop here.
