Default 99 against a schizo

Party 6max From Memory

Hero's Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Folded to Hero
Hero raises to $2 (i raise 8x BB because villain is a very liberable caller from the BB)
Small Blind Calls
Villain Calls

Flop ($6): 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
SB Checks
Villain Checks
Hero bets $6
SB Folds
Villain Raises to $11 (all-in)

Im obviously calling this, but does anyone think this $6 bet was too aggressive? Anything I should have done diff?

You should bet that flop since you likely had the best hand, and had a draw to a very strong hand. Against very bad opponents who will slowplay sets and two pair, and pay you off even when the obvious straight hits, I could see an argument for making a smaller bet that builds the pot while you (likely) have equity edge yet keeps both opponents in the hand.

Seems pretty standard once you've built the pot with a pf raise, of course you call the end. You may not want to hit the straight, as he could be pushing with one of the other 9s.

right. my line in thinking was that i probably had the best hand and i wanted to take it down then and there. unfortunately i missed the straight and he showed K 10. thanks for the input.
