Default I just got tabled coached (angry, but there\'s content!)

and honestly i dont give a [censored]. this guy is like 25/15, and i have a note on him that says "donks mid pairs into PFR blind defense". if you're gonna be [censored] predictable prepare to get owned.

the guy's name was "joeyjoejoe51" (apparently a 2p2 poster) and after the hand he said "wow you're horrible" "for a poster" "way to chase your gutshot." i honestly dont care what you think about my play. i played my hand fine in that i knew exactly what you had, based on a read, and i owned you on the river. move on.

PS your river 3bet sucks hard.

Party Poker 20/40 Hold'em (5 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls, SB folds.

Turn: (4 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, BB calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

Results in below:
BB has 8h 7d (two pair, eights and sevens).
Hero has 9h Jc (straight, queen high).
Outcome: Hero wins 14 BB.

on a separate note, i know everyone is just gonna tell me to fold this flop and move on. but i dont want to. if i know what he has and i have two overs then why the hell should i fold.

Surf: Settle down baron. And stop trying to get around the censor

Say the turn is the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - do you raise?

I think in one of sklansky's books it says that often a correct calling strategy shorthanded in these situations is to pretend the overcard to your hole-cards is a blank, and that this will give you approximately the right calling frequency.

Anyways, whats he doing calling the cap?

your note and the subsequent hand is a great way to reenforce selective memory and results oriented play. GL

you're right. i should stop making read based plays. i should play mechanical poker which tells me to fold flops where i am "drawing dead".

Generally, if he had top pair he would have check-raised Baron's possible-continuation bet on the flop. He bets out middle pair because lots of cards can come to beat him, he might pick up the pot, and he doesnt want to possibly give a freecard.
