Default First Post - KJ suited

Hello. This is my first post on these boards. I bet this turn because the club came...should I have checked and then called?

I would only lead a turn if I hit the flush, if you bet the turn and he raises you, you just cost yourself a BB to see if you hit the flush.

Any read on MP3?

My thinking is that 1) you are probably behind and 2) you can't bet your flush draw for value here. So I would not bet the turn, especially HU against a flop raiser. Calling seems OK, though. Standing by to be corrected...

Ask yourself this: What's more likely villian raising or folding on the turn if you bet into him? Then you have your answer.

Hello, and welcome to the forums.

I would check/call the turn because

<ul type="square">[*]It's highly unlikely that you have the best hand and your chance of improving to the best hand with one card to come is much less than 50%. Therefore, you can't bet for value.[*]I predict that your opponent won't ever fold in this situation (this is Party 0.50/1 and he has some kind of hand, so it won't happen), so you can't bet as a semi-bluff either.[*]If you check and villain bets, the pot is 5.50 BB. You have a 4.1 : 1 chance of making the flush with one card to come, so you have an easy call. [/list]And on your good days, villain will check behind you and let you see the river card for free.
