Forgetting bankroll
Any else think many times a day how much/little money you have total on online sites. I hate it but I just keep counting the money all the time and thinking oh my good im down $1k today and I have $7300 on online sites...
It doesen't effect my game or anything just hate thinking of it, and could prolly help a bit if I could just forget it all and play. Suggestions? |

It doesen't affect my game or anything [/ QUOTE ] You and I both know this is not true. It is important not to forget your bankroll, as it is your guage to what limits you should be playing. However, short term variance will cause your BR to fluctuate in different directions. Watching your bankroll grow and shrink daily is a bigger version of watching your stack grow and shrink with every hand. What you need is a more reliable source of information to judge the quality of your play. Try PokerTracker; I hear good things. |

Re: Forgetting bankroll
Bankroll is only important for determining your levels. Nothing else. I can't even begin to count how many times I have been "UP BIG" for the day and start playing really loose and end up giving some of it back.

Re: Forgetting bankroll
I dont really care about the bankroll when deciding what game to play. Offcourse I have over the 300bb for every limit I would even think to play and 20 buyins for nl etc.
Otherwise I just go with the games I feel like playing, sometimes that's 4 tabeling 4/8 short handed fixed, sometimes 1 tabeling 40/80 fixed, sometimes 5 tabeling 1/2nl and sometimes 2 tabeling 10/20nl. You are prolly right about the fact that in some level it affects my play how im doing "today", but not the way I would tilt or anything if im running bad. Maybe it's just me who find it's annoying to think about the bankroll often -- funny thing is in my mind I allways try to think I have little less spread over online sites then I actually have |
