times to overbet the pot?
I play NL but maybe make 3 raises above pot a day. I mainly do it when I have top pair with a good kicker on a straght flush draw board and a fairly low pot. I also do the checkraise allin semibluff fim taught us (thanks fim). Oh also I do it against shitty players when I have the nuts and I figure them for the 2nd or 3rd nuts. Any other good situations?

Re: times to overbet the pot?
On the turn when there's a flush draw out when you have a set and bet 3/4 of the pot OOP and got called?

Re: times to overbet the pot?
I have AK and 100BB. Villain has 50BB. I raise to 4BB pf and villain calls, maybe someone else calls.
Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me, I pot, villain calls. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Now we have villain has about 35-40BB. The pot is like 30-35BB. I just push here, because they might call with a draw (incorrectly), and a better made hand is going to get all in against me anyway, so this is the best way to get villains stack in the middle when I am pretty well ahead of his range. |
