Also, any comments on how I played it? I suspected that he would fold to a pot sized bet on the flop, but was sadly mistaken. Scary overcard to catch too.

I would check behind on the turn. It's a guess whether he has the flush or not, unless you have a read on him. The pot's already big enough at these stakes and you're not gonna scare him off his made hand. Yeah, he maybe hasn't made his flush yet and you let him draw for free, but he's not folding that hand anyway to your turn bet, and he may already have the flush. Let him lead into you on the river and make your decision there. Huge river bet I would fold. A bet of <75% of the pot, and I would be inclined to call; and if he checks the river, I would check behind.

Really? I really didn't think he would be on a flush draw after my flop bet. I thought the only way I'd be losing on the turn there is if he flopped a set or had AK and just put me on over cards.
