Good blind structure?
I'm hosting a 30-person tournament tonight and I was wondering what a good blind structure would be. I'd like to have each person to start with maybe $50 in chips and have the tourney end somewhere between 5-8 hours.

Re: Good blind structure?
Give this a try, raise blinds every hour:
1: 1/2 2: 2/4 3: 3/6 4: 5/10 5: 10/20 6: 20/40 7: 40/80 8: 50/100 The 50/100 is probably the highest you will need, just double if it goes any longer. I originally did it out in half hour blind raises, but that makes for some funny blind stages that don't make much sense. |

Re: Good blind structure?
Also if you have the chips, you may want to consider raising the starting amount to $100, keep the same blind structure. With $50 you will probably find a lot of people in tight spots after just a hand or two. Good luck either way.
