KK kicking my ass deep in 20k tourney on Pokerroom
Ok guys, blinds are 4k and 8k. Im in early position dealt KK with about 90k in front of me (5th position overall). I raise to 24k and CO (Stack 140K...3rd position) re-raises to a little over 50k.
I know this is an auto push but after he turned over AA I toast. After his raise I pushed and he has aces and I was out in 24th place. Can this possibly be avoided or do I get the unlucky [censored] of the tourney award for the night? Thanks guys. Ben |

Realistically, with 11 big blinds, you should be going broke with a lot more than just KK here if your opponent has aces. Not going broke with kings here, barring some insane physical tell, would be criminal.

It happens to everyone sometime. In the 50K there a few months ago 19 left and I had a 200K stack in third, 5K/10K, raise in front, I make it 85K or something, the only guy who covers me goes allin... there I was a lot deeper and I still couldn't fold, no one expects you to fold KK in that situation, if they say they can they're lying and/or they've folded the best hand too often. |
