Re: please critique this hand. Playing too scared?
Fold preflop. Without an incredible read, you can never call a real raise with K-Q. You're dominated too many times, and even if you hit your hand, you don't know if it's good. For example, in this hand, you clearly felt awkward and uncomfortable. You hit your top pair, but only called a bet and then folded to a raise. It's trouble. Stay away.
But since you did call preflop, I would have played it the same after the flop. I don't want to put a whole lot of money into this hand since I don't have any idea if it's good or not, so I just call the flop bet. But once someone raises and there are two other players in the pot, I'm out. No reason to go crazy with a vulnerable hand in a multiway pot with a draw heavy board. |

Re: please critique this hand. Playing too scared?
Six players, KQ is a pretty decent hand, but why are you limping, you need to raise pre-flop, then, when you hit top pair, you have to bet it. If you play hands like that shorthanded, you're gonna blind yourself out. I'll tell you why purecard raised pre-flop, because everyone limped. Nobody showed him any strength. The man had the same hand as you!!!Next time you have KQ in the CO in a shorthanded game, and nobody's raised, raise..raise...raise.

fold or raise PF, lead at flop, make decisions when they're easy to make.
