Default Lucky Eagle-Eagle Pass, TX

Has anyone visited the "new" Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass, Texas? I read some news articles that they recently just opened a newer and supposedly better facility a month or two ago.

It's really the only indian reservation in Texas, except for one near Louisiana.

Yeah, the new casino is right next to the old one, but is much nicer.
The poker room is better, and the games are typically very good, except that the highest game there is usually one table of 10/20.

They have tournaments as well, although I haven't played in them.

Probably still cheesy and way too overpriced, just like it used to be (it was barely more than a friggin' tent, lol).

if you are a "party-er" you may have a very unpleasant experience with the "border patrol," particularly on the way back north. They like to let their dogs jump on your car and scratch it too, real nice guys and all that they are. If you get stopped by any texas cops, the best procedure is to bend over and kiss your ass goodbye. I'm sure they are all real fond of people who are in their county to "gamble."

"yeah vern, I think we should run em in, they didn't even bring their bibles with em!"

I strongly suggest you drive the extra distance and just go to louisiana, where you will find REAL casinos.

After taking a 1 day trip into Lousiana and have to disagree. Lousiana, esp Shreveport and Lake Charles by Texas, is a horrid area and the casinos are worst. $5 rake, bad dealers, only like 2 or 3 stakes. But I will agree it has to be hella better than going by the border of mexico.

I can just rather play in local games in Austin. And since several people replied here from Austin, we should form our own local game.

However, there are a number of pretty good games here in town..
