in Vegas WAS a Nazi? http://www.und.edu/org/bridges/coleman.html [/ QUOTE ] He's dead now. Many of you may find this hard to believe but I love the IP. It's one of the only places in vegas that isn't owned by a huge mega corporation. Their poker room isn't glamorious or fancy but the dealers are cool and the place has a very nice relaxed feel about it. I fully expect Harrah's to buy the place in the next couple of years and implode it to make way for something bigger, newer, and a lot less personal then the IP. My .02 Mars |

Very, very, very old news. The staff had to attend the Hitler birthday parties. That's how the gaming commission found out about them. There has been a ton of material written about him. I think his nazi memorabilia collection was one of the largest in the world. It was certainly the most expensive.

in Vegas is a Nazi? [/ QUOTE ] Good story (although four years old). A friend told me this about 14 years ago but I never looked into it since I didn't have any plans to go back to the Imperial Palace. The IP was a half decent discount place back then, centrally located near the places you would actually want to go. I stayed there maybe two or three times from 1981 to 1991. FWIW, the Ralph Engelstad Arena - Home of the Fighting Sioux is up and running. ~ Rick |
